Terms of sale and license

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These terms explain what you get when you buy iosbridge ($29), mailsync ($49) or fints-cli (€39), each a one-time purchase. They summarise; the license text and Polar's buyer terms are what count.

1. Who sells

Purchases are made through Polar, operated by Polar Software, Inc., which acts as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. Your purchase contract is with Polar under its buyer terms; Polar takes the payment, issues the invoice and handles sales tax and VAT. The right to use the software is granted by sofatools under the license below. Who runs sofatools: see Impressum.

2. What you get

  • A license to use the product (section 3).
  • Read access to the product's private GitHub repository, with the source code, the documentation and later versions published there.
  • A license key issued by Polar as proof of purchase. The software does not check it and does not contact any server of ours.

There is no subscription. Read access granted for a one-time purchase does not expire, unless the purchase is refunded. There is no promise of particular new features or of a release schedule.

3. License (summary)

The software is licensed to the purchaser for use on any number of their own devices and projects (iosbridge), accounts (mailsync) or bank accounts (fints-cli). Redistribution, resale or publication of the source is not permitted. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (in particular for intent and gross negligence). Full license texts.

4. Delivery

You need a GitHub account. After checkout, Polar asks you to connect it and invites it to the repository with read access. Installation is described in each product's docs. If the invitation does not arrive, contact Polar's support or write to us (address in the Impressum).

5. Refunds and right of withdrawal

Because Polar is the seller, refunds are handled by Polar under its buyer terms and applicable law. Requests go to Polar, through the link in your receipt or Polar's support.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right of withdrawal for 14 days. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right ends once delivery has begun, if you expressly agreed to delivery starting before the end of the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you thereby lose the right. Whether and how that consent is collected is part of Polar's checkout; your statutory rights as a consumer are not limited by these terms.

6. Support

Bug reports go to the issue tracker of the product's repository. There is no support contract and no guaranteed response time.

7. Using the tools responsibly

iosbridge is meant for debug builds of apps you develop. mailsync and fints-cli give programs, including AI agents, read access to your mail and bank data; deciding what to expose to which program is your responsibility. Use them only with accounts and devices you are entitled to use.
